Hello, I’m Fiona – Principal Director of Conexus Tuition Stafford and Stone.

I grew up just outside Eccleshall and trained as a primary teacher before spending 15 years teaching in Milton Keynes. During Covid, my husband and I moved back to Stafford with our three children to be nearer family. That time helped me realise what I truly love about teaching – helping children grow in confidence and enjoy those brilliant “lightbulb” moments.

After years of supporting children through SATs and exams, I’ve seen first-hand how important it is for learners to feel safe, supported and capable. No child should go into an exam feeling unprepared. That passion led me to launch Conexus Tuition Stafford and Stone.

Our small groups (max six) create a calm, focused space where children learn alongside peers, build confidence and realise they’re not alone. Parents often tell us how quickly their children settle in, especially after trying 1:1 tuition that didn’t quite fit. The group setting allows for discussion, shared ideas and gentle encouragement.

Tuition is an unregulated sector, so safeguarding is at the heart of what we do. All our tutors are fully qualified teachers with the relevant checks and ongoing training you’d expect in a school setting.
