Hello Parents and Carers

Welcome to  Conexus Tuition Shifnal.

Firstly, I would like to introduce myself to you. Originally from Sheffield, I studied at Cardiff University for four years before starting my teaching career in Kent in 1993. Since then, I have worked as Head of Department, Head of Faculty, Head of Sixth Form, Assistant Headteacher and Vice Principal at secondary schools within the West Midlands.

I have been privileged to teach and support hundreds of young people during my time working in schools and, even after 29 years, still get a huge thrill seeing the lightbulb go on for students when they suddenly grasp something they previously found challenging. This magic moment, where a previously perceived difficult concept is suddenly understood can only happen when children feel secure, safe and confident.

Through small group tuition, with highly qualified and experienced teachers, our pupils thrive, making exceptional progress. Within this safe and nurturing environment, which is quite different to being in a classroom with up to 30 other students, pupils can receive tailored support in the areas they find difficult, at a pace to suit their needs. This is when their self-belief and confidence begins to grow and the magic of learning comes to life.

I am so excited to be serving Shifnal families, as a Shifnal resident for the past 7 years, and I look forward to meeting you and your children in the weeks and months to come.
