I am incredibly excited to be the new Principal Director for Conexus Tuition Scarborough and Ryedale. I will be bringing a very valuable experience to this role as a former Deputy Headteacher, Head of Department and subject teacher. I cannot wait to get started!

I also have a team of outstanding tutors based in both Scarborough and Ryedale. Some of them also specialise in online teaching, if this is what you prefer for your child during these uncertain times.

Our highly skilled subject tutors are passionate about teaching and learning. Their positive and friendly approach, coupled with their excellent subject knowledge will boost your child’s confidence no end and will ensure that their progress is both rapid and sustained.

From September we will be offering:

GCSE Short Course in English, Maths and Science online

GCSE face to face exam focussed tuition in English Maths and Science (Scarborough) at The Street Community Centre Studio 2 12 Lower Clark Street Scarborough YO12 7PW 5-7 pm every Monday in term time starting Monday 14th September 2020

GCSE face to face exam focussed tuition in English and Maths (Malton) 5pm -7pm venue to be confirmed

We are currently planning KS2 and KS3 Literacy and Numeracy provision for both Scarborough and Malton. We hope this will be up and running for after October half term

We are sourcing fabulous venues for your child to be tutored in across all our locations in Scarborough and Ryedale. We want all our students to have the very best environment to learn in, where they can feel happy and safe. We have already secured The Street in Scarborough for our tuition in this location. It is very central to all the local schools. The learning spaces are very light and modern with great facilities. The Street has robust COVID 19 policies in place to protect your child and all the staff working with them. We are sourcing a similar venue for Malton and also for our planned Primary provision.

weekly classes

Secondary (Year 7-9)

Maximum 6 Students Per Group

We like to offer a range of tuition at this point. In the first instance we can support the curriculum gaps from school; cover the work that they are doing in class or we can revisit the areas that they have missed. We can work with them in an environment of high energy and praise.

GCSE Science

GCSE

Maximum 6 Students Per Group

We offer exam focused tuition specific to your childs’ examination board, we work with mark schemes and model for your child how to maximise the marks in their exams. It is all about technique. The important thing to remember is that with our focused tuition the increase in marks could make a significant difference to the outcome. It is never too late.

GCSE Maths

GCSE English

GCSE Geography

GCSE History

a-level

Maximum 6 Students Per Group

Our most successful approaches to A level tuition have been our ‘Bridging the Gap’ sessions with year 12. There can be huge gaps in learning between year 11 and year 12 and the leap for GCSE to A level can often leave young people floundering.
