Meet The Principal Director

As a local maths teacher with over 18 years of experience, I know the difference that the right support can make. At Conexus, we offer expert small group tuition that helps children grow in confidence, make real progress, and feel ready for exams.

Why choose us?

  • I’ve held senior roles in schools, including Head of Department and Lead Practitioner

  • All our tutors are fully qualified, DBS checked, and subject specialists

  • Many of us also mark or moderate for exam boards

  • We have a dedicated learning centre.

A growing local success story

  • We started in March 2022 with two tutors and two venues

  • We now support around close to 100 students each week in our learning centre.

  • Our team has grown to 10 expert tutors

  • We’re proud to support local causes, schools and charities including MIND and Together for Short Lives

  • We work with local businesses like Morrisons and Co-Op to give back to our community

Testimonials

What Do Our Parents Say?

My daughter has been with Barry and his team since Y7 (now at the end of Y8) her confidence in maths has excelled, she has progressed so much in her maths work and has had a glowing maths report at parents evening! Thanks Barry for all your support and tuition, it’s made such a difference! That “higher” GCSE maths paper is on the horizon.
My daughter has been having sessions with Barry and his team for a few weeks now and her confidence is growing again after struggling in lock down. Lessons are structured and as it’s not 1-1 she doesn’t feel pressure of the teacher looking over her shoulder. She enjoys the group setting knowing somebody is right on hand when she has a question. Highly recommended
I can’t believe how much she has pulled her marks up in the last year. She’s gotten so much better and we appreciate it and hope her grades reflect how she has improved.
Barry, it makes me sad that (Child) won’t be taught by you anymore. You’ve been amazing with her and like she said, made everything that little bit more bearable. You haven’t played a small part, you’ve play THE part. Without you, we wouldn’t be where we are now. Thank you for everything and for believing in her.
I can't thank you enough for all your help, support and encouragement through this journey. You've been amazing to us as a family, not just (child). Will be recommending you to anyone in the future.
Thank you. (Child) has come along so much since starting the tutor sessions and I feel like her confidence has grown so much. Thank you to you all.
You've helped him to come on loads and loads in maths to the point where he has looked forward to doing the exams! I will be certain to recommend you to people in the future and I'll let you know how (child) gets on.
